The radio is fully operable using the front panel controls.The power adapter an aftermarket that I purchased for testing this unit. The power adapter is new, and it provides the correct rating for this unit. Tested and working. Please see photos.

The mesh that covers the speaker has a very tiny hole in it, bottom right corner. Can be seen to the left of SHIFT button in second photo. Its really not noticeable, but I just wanted to point this out for full transparency.
