Hd is amazing. When tuning in stations, there is a slight pause between hd1, and hd2. As far as the antenna, I simply used a alligator clip with wire and clipped it to the pin. I never used the dock, clock or alarm.
Many stations that I though were strictly rock stations also played jazz and country on their hd extensions. I have since replaced it with a hd receiver. It had a remote, and a plug in antenna but has been misplaced.
I had no idea what I was missing. I used this unit in my office to get hd digital radio.
